You know how it is with social media practitioners and keeping in tune with the community, right? I got to thinking, though, that we’re not any different from realtors that sell houses and, ultimately, communities.
We basically have the same things in mind – to sell our products and services to the people in the community. We blog about what we know with our respective niches with (admit it or not) hopes that someone would take the bait and avail of our services.
Realtors, on the other hand, may make use of blog sites to share information about houses that are currently for sale and throw in ideas on how to redecorate a house to make it look bigger, etc. Yet, ultimately, the goal is to (hopefully) sell houses.
The question is: How?
When does “just sharing” end and the sales pitching begin?
How do you subtly sway a casual reader into a potential buyer?
We’re all aware of the different social media platforms we can use to get our business across, but which social media tools do you think a realtor can utilize to make the transition from blog reader to property buyer more fluid and not feel forced?
I personally suggest using a Flickr account to share photos of the houses being sold, or maybe a YouTube account for virtual tours of the house. But I was hoping you could name a few others for the benefit of our realtor friends who are interested in using social media for their business.
