Maybe you’re like me and any other blogger who’s happy but wondering why people keep coming back to our blogs. Don’t get me wrong, I like the fact that you’re back to visit or check up on what I have to offer on the site. But sometimes I still think of what I’m doing right.
As many of social media experts say in their sites, people visit (and come back to) websites for one or all of three reasons:
- the information
- the simplicity of the site
- the connection.
I’d like to believe that I engage my followers in all three things. I share what I know, I keep my site pleasant but not over-beautified, and I try to make my readers know that I knew they dropped by. If I’m going to stand by what my mentors said are the basic reasons people keep coming back to my site, then I guess I have my bases covered.
But then again, I think people like coming back to the site because they know I like meeting new people on the Internet and I genuinely want to help people out with the things I know.
There are other reasons I could think of that could make people visit and come back to your blog: You might be offering them something entertaining or you could be someone people can easily relate to. Whatever the reason is, it’s working. It’s making readers re-visit your site for more of what you offer.
Now I was just throwing off ideas as to why people keeping coming back to you blog, I’d like to know what YOU think makes them re-visit, though.
