One of the best things about my job is I get to play Facebook games. Not just to entertain myself but to see different executions from different game developers. I love games and been playing since the days of Atari and Commodore 64.
I love cars too especially Japanese breeds and put cars in a game, viola! I will definitely try it out. A new Facebook game was launched a few weeks ago and it’s called Car Town.
This afternoon, while doing stuff in my garage I noticed one sign that really caught my attention and made me explore what it is. Honda CR-Z is sneaking around Car Town. Take a look at the signboard with a guy asking people to Check Out the new CR-Z.
This will then take you to a welcome window for the Honda CR-Z showroom.
The showroom actually has Car Town Honda CR-Z in different colors. If you click one, there’s nothing special to see. It’s just a typical showroom.
But if you will click one of the LCD monitors, which I marked with a red circle, it will take you here.
Yep, a YouTube video that introduces the new Honda CR-Z Sports Hybrid showing you a glimpse of the front panel, the shift stick and a drive around a parking area. To call Honda CR-Z sneaky is a little bit unfair. On a marketing perspective, I call this smart and brilliant! But there are people who play games to unwind or to relax and the last thing they want to see is a piece of advertisement that was tied to a game.
Personally, I have no problem with seeing advertisements since I have the power to just ignore them. But what do you think? Is this where we are headed? I want to hear your thoughts regarding this one. Let’s talk!
