For most companies, setting up a social media marketing plan means having to hire people to do the strategizing, implementing, and posting for them.
It’s understandable, really. If you’re too busy running the business, it’s going to be quite a challenge to shift between managing the company and planning how you’re going to do social media marketing.
Now, how to choose people to hire…
Such is the question most business owners have. How, indeed, can they choose an individual who is tailor-fit to do the job?
First, find someone with keen analytical skills. Someone who sees through things and determines which moves were most effective and which ones weren’t.
Next, you want someone who’s creative and daring. Someone who thinks outside the box and is not afraid of acting on them. Someone innovative enough to come up with fresh ideas to approach your online followers.
Third, you’d want to choose someone with good writing skills. Someone who writes with his heart but still doesn’t forget that writing for someone’s business and that it requires a certain degree of professionalism.
Lastly, you’re going to have to find someone with a good personality. Believe it or not, a great personally transcends through web space. It is that personality that will shines through the strategies or posts he creates and makes it appealing to followers.
In as much as a degree of formality is required from a social media strategist is required, he should not lose his sense of humor. People usually get intimated by people who are too stiff and uptight.
These are just personal standards that I’d want the person handling my social media affairs to have, I’d like to know your criteria, though. If you were to hire a social media personnel to do the work for you, what quality should the person have?
