Coming up with great content is no big problem. You may even be enjoying the process of producing content to publish on your site like I do. But more than just the fun of writing great content, very little people think that there’s something else that we can get from content writing.
If you’re taking the blogger’s approach to writing, it may be true that you won’t be able to make anything from your output. Writing for the purpose of writing simply won’t cut it if you want to get money out of your content. You’ve got to learn how to strategize.
Write something that catches people’s attention.
Product remarkable content that yells, “Read me!” on its own. You can’t simply go with passable when you want to call people’s attention; you got to give them something exceptionally special.
Writing an eye-catching headline is a good start. Actually knowing what you’re writing about is a great follow-through. Baiting people with a great title is useless if you can’t reel them in with quality content.
Enter subtle marketing hints while you’re at it. Get them interested in what you really have to offer. Don’t be too crass as to tell them directly to buy your product or avail your service. Slyly get that message across with your content instead.
What comes after you’ve gotten their attention?
So you’ve finally gotten heads to turn towards your direction. How do you keep their attention on you?
Simply put, you have to keep writing high-quality content.
Use your words to send subtle sales messages to their subconscious. You persuade them to stick around for more of your content. Content, which will work on increasing their interest in what you have to say about things.
Once you’ve really gotten their attention, that’s when you drop the big bomb. Share a landing page where they can find actual information on different promotions, as well as straightforward advertisements for your products.
Although it doesn’t hurt to have a well-crafted landing page, a subtle yet compelling sales pitch from your content should be enough to convert readers into customers.
Not your average marketer
You have to remember that you’re not the run-off-the-mill marketing personnel who’s driven on direct pitches and hard sells. You’re a content marketer working in a social media-driven industry and your words are your most powerful weapon.
Do you think content marketing will help increase your sales? What are your thoughts on this matter?
