Last night, Manila time, Tropical Typhoon Ondoy (International name Ketsana) landed on Manila. And it landed with a bang unleashing relentless rain. At present, Manila and its nearby towns are flooded. People are stranded in their rooftops waiting for rescue and at least 1,180 passengers were stranded in different ports in the Bicol region.
As part of Barrio Siete, we started a campaign, Barrio Bayanihan For Ondoy Victims, to raise fund for flood victims which will be given to the Red Cross. With this, I would like to knock on the hearts of my readers and Twitter followers to help us raise funds. I would also like to invite Filipinos here in the United States to share some love.
If a Twitter Power User Reads this one, please help us spread the word. We would really appreciate it. Please use this LINK, which will take you to the Red Cross page, if you would like to make donations or you can visit our campaign at Barrio Siete.
Thank you for your donations!
