Negative reviews are normal in just about any situation. After all, you can’t please everybody. No matter how much effort you put into doing something, you’re bound to encounter a bad comment or two from random people.
The problem herein lies with handling the negative remarks you get? Most people would simply let it fly by and ignore it. However, you need to understand that as a social media practitioner or a business owner who has incorporated the use of social media marketing into the business; this just isn’t the right approach.
Now, what do you do when you receive a bad critique?
Toughen up. Negative comments are unavoidable. You just have to suck it up and take it for what it is. If you keep an open mind about it, you may even get unexpected advice from a few of them. Besides, even bad reviews contribute to sales.
Know when to delete a bad review. Not all negative comments are valid critiques. Not all of them are insightful and real. You need to learn to discern which ones are just bullshitting (pardon my French) you. Once you’re able to tell which remarks are substantial, delete the senseless ones. You don’t need bogus negative critiques crowding your blog or website.
Lastly, you should learn to trust your readers. If you come across a site that doesn’t allow you to explain your side about the negative comment, then all you can do is leave the rest to your followers. They’re not dumb. They’ll be able to tell a real critique from a fake one.
Surely you’ve got your own methods of dealing with bad remarks you hear about you or your company. Would you mind sharing them over at the comments section?
