7 Actions To Improve Reader Experience

So you have a blog and you’ve got tons of things that you want to share with your readers. You’re not alone. In fact, you’re one among many bloggers whose minds are overflowing with ideas.

Now, if you are but one in a sea of many bloggers, how can you make yourself standout. If you’re thinking of answering with posting unique content, then you’re correct.

31 Days To Build A Better Blog

However, that’s only one of many things you can do. And it falls down under the idea of giving your readers a better reader experience.

How else can you give your readers a better experience while they’re on your blog? Here are some tips:

1. Get to the point. Everybody’s busy these days. They’re taking time out of their busy days just to check on what you’ve posted, you might as well make it time well spent. Sure, a tolerable amount of fluff is normal to avoid making your blog entry dull, but too much fluff will make you lose your point.

2. Make catchy headlines. This is actually the first thing that catches your reader’s attentions, so make it snappy and attention-catching.

3. Produce one-of-a-kind materials. It may be hard, but it’s rewarding. It doesn’t have to be unique in the sense that it’s something no one has ever talked about, because I doubt if there’s still any, but rather a fresh perspective or viewpoint on things will be a good start.

4. Add relevant images. If it helps you express your point better or explain things clearer, then don’t hesitate to put images in your blog posts.

5. Don’t shy off of referencing. Be it to your own articles or others, always indicate if there are reference articles that you used or any other relevant articles in your archives that your readers can use as reference if they want to know more about your topic.

6. Tag your posts properly. This will make finding your blog posts easier for people who might be looking for articles that fall under your topic or niche.

7. As much as possible, always reply to comments. Personally, the best way to make your readers have the best possible experience during their visit to your blog is when you acknowledge and engage them. Responding to comments shows your readers that you’ve noticed them and appreciate the time they took to read through your post.

These are the things I do on my blog to keep my readers happy.  If you have other tips to add, do feel free to share them at the comments section.

I’d like to flip the tables, though. If you were the reader, what would you like bloggers to do to give you a better reader experience?
